Pizza Shark and the Chatham Orpheum teamed up for a Throwback Thursday classic, the bruising comedy hockey classic ‘Slap Shot’ with Paul Newman. If you showed up in a hockey jersey, you got $5 off your ticket. And boy did the audience overdeliver. The guy who showed up with a Hanson jersey, with his glasses taped and his knuckles wrapped in foil was a personal favorite (it makes sense if you’ve seen the movie). No brawls broke out in the theater (other than the one we staged), but there was certainly a lot of belly laughs.

And to further set the tone, we put together a ‘coming attractions’ bumper at the beginning of movies that would have been previewed when ‘Slap Shot’ came out in 1977. Check it out below!
